Mahapoornahuti | Vijayadashami | Grand Culmination of Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna | Oct 20, 2026

With the Divine Blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna culminated in a grand and spiritually uplifting finale at Prasanthi Nilayam on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami. Poornachandra Auditorium resonated with the vibrations of Vedic chants, fervent prayers, and the collective devotion of thousands gathered to witness the grand Mahapoornahuti, marking the conclusion of seven days of rituals and spiritual observances.

The week-long Yajna featured a series of Vedic and scriptural observances, including Rudra Homam performed on all seven days, Sahasra Lingarchana, Surya Namaskaram, and the Parayanams of the Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Devi Mahatmyam. The continuous chanting of mantras and the performance of traditional rituals reaffirmed the eternal significance of the Vedas and Bhagawan’s divine mission of preserving and propagating this spiritual heritage.

The sacred Kalasham containing holy waters gathered from sacred rivers was carried in a ceremonial procession from the Bhajan Hall, amidst vibrant bhajans being sung. Amidst the resounding Vedic chants of the priests, the Mahapoornahuti, sacred offerings were made into the consecrated fire with profound reverence. The crackling flames, the fragrance of the offerings, and the fervent prayers of devotees lent extraordinary sanctity to the occasion.

During the Samprokshanam, the sanctified waters were ceremonially sprinkled, spreading the sanctity of the Yajna throughout the sacred surroundings. This significant ceremony, continuing a tradition upheld by Bhagawan Himself, served as a reminder of His boundless grace.

The occasion assumed even greater significance as it also marks Avatar Declaration Day, commemorating the historic declaration of Bhagawan on October 20, 1940. This anniversary recalls the moment when Bhagawan, as young Sathya Narayana Raju, revealed His divine identity and the mission that would go on to transform countless lives across the world.

The seven-day Yajna concluded with Maha Mangala Arati to Bhagawan, bringing the spiritually uplifting celebrations to an auspicious close on the holy Vijayadashami day.
